2018 Marathon event in NYC
Similar to every autumn the city this time also will host the 2018 New York City marathon on Sunday, November 4th. Around 50,000 runners are participating in all the five boroughs in the hope of finishing the 26.2-mile of course. Starting off 2018 NYC Marathon:
This year the marathon will kick off at around 8:30 a.m. for the Professional Wheel chair Division, 8:52 at the Achilles Hand cycle category and then the athletes are selected with disabilities, and last 9:20 for the professional women. Rest of all the runners would be kicking off in the four waves, which is starting at 8:50 a.m. in which the final wave would begin at 11:00 a.m. Also, remember that there would be the daylight savings on the weekends so do not forget to fall back and set the clocks back an hour on Saturday nights.
Ending of 2018 NYC Marathon:
The official end time of the race is 7:25 p.m., but all the closed bridges and streets will reopen well in advance before that. There will be sweep buses which would follow the marathon route at a 6.5-hour marathon pace and bridges and street will resume once they pass.
However, the average marathon finishing time for men and women would be roughly 4.5 hours so the majority of the runners will cross the finish line between 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The race would kick off from the same location, which is Staten Island where it is kicking off every year. Then it will make it way from Verrazano bridge in Brooklyn where runners would then head towards the north of Williamsburg and Green point and then into queens.
